In Time

In Time is a science fiction movie directed and produced by Andrew Niccol. This film was released on October 28, 2011 with a strong up and coming cast of Justin Timberlake (Will Salas), Amanda Seyfried (Sylvia Weis), Cillian Murphy (Timekeeper Raymond Leon), Shyloh Oostwald (Maya), Olivia Wilde (Rachel Salas), Matt Bomer (Henry Hamilton), Christiann Castellanos (Jasmine) and Alex Pettyfer (Fortis).

In the year 2161 a genetic alternation has allowed humanity to stop aging at 25 put they have to start earning years so they can stay alive or they will die with a year. Time has taken money's place and can be divided and shared among people. People can see what they have left to live through an implant an their lower arm. The young and poor live in the ghettos of Dayton where they have to work just to earn to pay for the bills, feed themselves which also cost time from your life and to get to get work the next day (wages are in time the more time you get the longer you can live) and the elderly and the rich live in luxurious like cities called New Greenwich, drive fast cars and can live for centuries.

Factory worker Will Salas (Justin Timberlake) lives with his mother Rachel (Olivia Wilde) in the ghettos. One night in a bar Will saves the life of 105-year-old Henry Hamilton (Matt Bomer) from a time robbery assault because he starts flaunting his time by buying everybody drinks. Fortis (Alex Pettyfer) a mobstor boss of a middle age gang called Minutemen trys to take all the years from Hamilton but Will takes him from the bar and hides him in an abandoned fctory. Will hiding out Hamilton tells Will afew truths "for few to be immortal, many must die", as there is essentially not enough time for the rich to become immortal. Hamilton describes how he no longer desires life' in saying "Your mind is worn out, even though your body may not be. We want, We need to die".

The next morning Hamilton transfers 116 years to the sleeping Will and leaves himself just ten minutes and sat on the nearest bridge as his time expires. Will ran save him but was too late but saw he was filmed by a near by camera so he fled the scene. When time keeper Raymond Leon (Cillian Murphy) arrives at the scene he is quickly convinced he was murdered by a ghetto resident. Later Will is waiting at a bus stop for his mother but soon realizes she didn't get the bus because the price went up so they both ran to each other as fast as they could but as her time runs out she fell into his arms, her time expires before her son can help her and she dies in his arms. Will remembering what Hamilton said decides to take revenge and heads for New Greenwich.

When he gets there he enters a high stake casino where he meets Philippe Weis (Vincent Kartheiser) an old millionaire, time-loaning businessman and his daughter Sylvia (Amanda Seyfried). He impresses her when he enters a game were he beats her father and wins $1,100 years, So she invites him back to a party at her parents house, Raymond Leon (Timekeeper) crashes the party and accuses Will for killing Hamilton and stealing his lives so he take all the years from Will and just leaves him with an hour, with a desperate Will he kidnaps Sylvia to escape.

So angry with the system Will convinces Sylvia to disrupt and shut it down saying that everyone should have a choice to live their lives. They both decide to rob a banks and give the time to the lesser off people forcing a 10 year bounty on their head. But they soon find out that their efforts were futile because they just upped the cost of living to maintain status quo. They then later to succeed in stealind a million years from Weis private headquarters in the time capsule a escapes the city to reach Dayton. Upon arrival Leon crashes into Wills car but was ables to give the capsule to a young girl that distributed the tim among people.

Leon catches up with Will and Sylvia outside the city, holding them at gunpoint. When they try to run away Leon goes after them but realizes that he forgot to put in his own time he earned and tries to get it back but didn't get there in time and dies. With seconds to live Will runs to Leon's car to take his earnings while in a similar scene to his mothers death Sylvia falls into his arms but got there in time.

The end scene shows Will and Sylvia are about to rob a obscenely huge Time Bank in order to attempt to shut the system down.

In Time is a very enjoyable movie for the family and definitely a must watch film for 2012 !!!
